Hello! My name is Allie Richter and I started COMFORT CREATIONS, a charity which aims to bring love and support to breast cancer patients and survivors by decorating aprons and donating them to hospitals.

The inspiration for my charity came from a deeply personal experience. In March 2020, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy just two months later. The recovery process was challenging, and my mom had to wear four drain bulbs for six weeks, causing her great discomfort. I witnessed her struggle and wanted to find a way to bring some joy and comfort during this difficult time. There was no place to put the bulbs and that is when I got the idea to decorate an apron for her. When I presented the decorated apron to my mom, the happiness it brought her was immeasurable. This inspired me to create decorated aprons for other mastectomy patients, hoping to brighten their recovery as well.

With that mission in mind, I founded COMFORT CREATIONS. Through this charity, I decorate aprons with colorful designs and donate them to hospitals. The specially designed aprons securely hold drain bulbs, allowing patients to move with ease and confidence. By combining practicality and style, I aim to alleviate the physical and emotional burden experienced during the healing process.

Join us in making a difference as we wrap our patients in love, compassion, and a beautifully crafted apron reminding survivors that they are not alone in their fight.

Delivering Aprons

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Blair Wormer @wormermd this afternoon. Dr. Wormer performed reconstruction surgeries after my mom’s double mastectomy. Thank you for playing such an important role and being a part of her oncology team. Thank you to everyone who continues to be an instrumental role in my mom’s recovery during her breast cancer journey.
